Overview of deep hole drilling: deep hole drilling(draw ratio ＞10) plays an very important part in mechanical processing and about 40% ,which will use deep hole drilling. With the development of science and technology, the new parts with high processing difficulty is more, and also the processing precision and processing efficiency is much higher than before. For the chip removing and coolant are always hard for processing. At this time, the improvement of deep hole drilling is an important point for deep hole processing. 
Usually there are two kinds of deep hole processing: shallow hole processing and deep hole processing. For the deep hole drilling,the draw ratio of drilling depth and drilling hole diameter is bigger than 10 times , it’s called deep hole, or smaller than 10, it’s called shallow hole, and when bigger than 100 times, it’s called super deep hole.
There are usually two kinds of deep hole drilling tools: gun drills and BTA drilling tools. 
When deep hole processing, the tooling will drill with only one time to get a high dimensional accuracy, straightness and roughness. Even the cross hole, blind hole and inclined hole, it can also get a high straightness. When deep hole drilling, there also has a very strict requirement towards the machines.
