Working principle of gun drilling tools--drill stem

    The drill stem  used the special alloy steel and heat treatment. And there is a V shape groove of 110～165°. The high pressure coolant oil enter through drill stem to thedrill bit , and thus coolant the lubricate the drill bits.

    Also for the chips, it removes from the v shape grove. In order to ensure the linearity and concentricity when cutting, the drill stem must have enough hardness to make sure enough torque when there is a twist. And also the gun drill stem must have enough rigidity so that it can have a stable processing.
