The usual tooling products include single blade gun drill, double blade gun drill, step drills, and coated gun drills etc. the blade diameter of GSM gun drills ranges from 3mm to 40 mm and the overall length can reach to 5000mm. GSM has an extensive experience in deep hole drilling solutions for moulds, automotive, mine and petroleum machinery, aviation, turbine and machine tool industries.
There are all four kinds of gun drilling tools in GSM.
First one: single-edged welding gun drill
Second one: single-edged step drill
Third one: double-edged gun drill
Fourth one: coating gun drill
Gun drilling represents a advanced and high effective hole drilling technology. Not only used for drilling deep hole (length and diameter ratio >10), but also for drilling precise shallow hole. It consists of drill stock, drill stem and drill bit which are all welded together. The hole in the middle is the channel through which the cutting fluid enters the cutting area and the chips are removed outside by a v-shaped groove.
Gun drills not only can find applications on deep hole drilling machine, but on traditional machine tools as turning mills, boring mills, radial drills and machining center through a QYZ system developed by GSM.
