During gun drilling machine process, the right way of using and managing the cutting oil will help you to get a good processing efficiency and processing quality. But in actual deep hole processing, the user always ignore the importance of cutting oil. The proper use and normal maintenance of cutting oil can prolong the life service of carbide drill bit and improve the processing precision and working environment. So here is some attentions:
1) Add the cutting oil regularly to make the oil level on a high degree. If the oil volume is small, which will make the circulation speed fast,the wearing chips and small iron can’t be precipitated completely; the load of oil cleaner is too high, which will cause the poor filtration, the workpiece surface with poor precision, and reduce the incorruptibility of gun drilling tools. The cutting heat can’t be spread in time, so the oil temperature will raise, as a result, it will cause the wearing capacity of gun drill bits and guide block, also the forming of cutting chips. And also cause the cutting oil aging. Usually, the enter oil temperature is no more than 40℃, the return oil temperature is no more than 50℃. The aging cutting oil is usually between 50—60℃. From this temperature, raise every 10℃, the cutting oil aging speed will one time bigger. The aging of cutting oil will greatly cause the poor processing precision, consequently, we should supply or replace the cutting oil in time.
2) Oil cleaner and oil tank must clean them regularly.
3) When using the oil, there should be antirust measure to avoid the pollution of oil and aging, so that there could be a clear working environment.
4) Don’t mix the cutting oil from different supplier.
5) Strength the analysis and judge of cutting oil.
