Function of cutting oil when using the deep hole drilling machine

In deep hole drilling, cutting oil plays a very important role, and below is its mainly functions:

1)      Coolant the workpiece and gun drill bits: it will reduce the thermal deformation of carbide drill bit and workpiece to improve the gun drilling tool’s incorruptibility and hole precision.

2)      Lubricate the gun drill surface: reduce the friction, cutting deformation, cutting force, gun drilling tools wearing capacity and improve the gun drill bits’ incorruptibility.

3)      Remove the chips and avoid the shakeness: a certain pressure and cutting oil flow will wash out the irons to achieve chip removing. Because there is a certain pressure cutting oil between the workpiece and drill shank, it can reduce the shakeness and noisy when deep hole processing.

4)      Protect the workpiece surface and antirust: when using the internal chip removing gun drilling machine, the cutting oil can avoid the chips scratch the workpiece surface, and also wash the chips, which is on the surface on the workpiece. At the same time, it can also form a certain protection layer to avoid rust.
